As this year’s ERICSA President, I would like to extend my personal invitation to
attend the 45th Annual Training Conference and Exposition at the elegant Peabody
Memphis Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee.

Hotel Reservations
Reserve your room at the special rate of $145.00 plus 15.95% tax by March 19, 2008,
at the Memphis Peabody by calling (901) 529-4000 and mentioning ERICSA.

OVERFLOW HOTEL INFORMATION
As of 3/10/08, the Peabody Hotel is full. The overflow hotel is
the Holiday Inn, across the street from the Peabody. The call in number
is 888-300-5491. The group name is Eastern Regional Interstate Child
Support Association or ERICSA. The rates are 149.99 single/double and
159.00 triple/quad. The available dates are 4-13 to 4-16 (departing on
the 17th). The cut off date to make a reservation and get the ERICSA rate
is 3/24/08. There is a limit of 65 rooms available.
Please note that you may be able to get a room at the Peabody if you
continue to call. Sometimes rooms become available as people cancel or
consolidate their reservations. Also, if you are a speaker and cannot
get a room, please contact your workshop coordinator for assistance.

Rising Star Scholarship Information
ERICSA has established two Rising Star scholarships to help ensure
dedicated child support enforcement workers are able to attend the
annual ERICSA training conference each year. The purpose of these
scholarships is to help expand line-staff knowledge of the child support
program and to promote their professional development.
Elligible applicants:
- Applicants must attest that they have never attended an ERICSA Conference.
- Their supervisor must attest that, should they be awarded the
scholarship, they will be able to attend.
- Applicants agree to allow use of their photographic image in future
ERICSA publications, including but not limited to the newsletter
and conference brochures.
- Applicants must agree to write a brief article about their
experience at the ERICSA conference for inclusion in future ERICSA
newsletters.
- Applicants must be currently employed within the Title IV-D child
support enforcement program as front-line staff. This includes state,
county, and contract staff.
Scholarship:
The scholarships include the following:
- Conference registration
- Hotel for Sunday through Wednesday nights of the conference
- $120 total per diem for the conference
- Travel will be arranged by the attendee and reimbursed by ERICSA
up to $500.
Two scholarships will be awarded each year. One scholarship will be
awarded to an applicant from within the conference host state and
the other from applicants outside of the host state.
